Why Choose The McAfee Law Firm?
There are three things you need to look for to decide which lawyer is right for you.
You need a lawyer who is competent, a lawyer who is diligent, and a lawyer you can trust.
Competence: I do not try to handle every kind of legal matter. I am in the criminal courts every week of the year. There is a rating system for lawyers. It is confidential, I don’t get to see who grades me. It is peer review, meaning that lawyers who are familiar with my work report on the quality of that work. And it’s voluntary. You can receive an A, B, or C rating. An A rating is awarded for very few lawyers, the ones that are Very High to Preeminent in Legal Ability and ethics. I’ve been rated A since I was eligible to be rated.
Diligence: I take fewer cases, and I handle them better. I am not interested in being a high-volume lawyer. If I take on your case, I will handle all of the negotiations myself. If the negotiations fail, and a trial is necessary, I will not be handing it off to an associate. You will be represented by me.
Trust: if I handle your case, I will explain the pros and cons of any negotiation to you before you decide. The decision whether to settle a case or to go to trial is yours in the end. Before you make it, I will weigh in with everything that I know to guide you. If you choose to go to trial, I’ll be with you every step of the way.
